Face Care For Combination Skin

What is combination skin?

Combination skin is having skin that is oily in certain areas and dry in other areas. The most common combination is the oily/dry combination where the face is oily in the T-zone (forehead, nose, chin) and dry at the cheeks.

What causes combination skin?

There are more than 4 skin types in general, but combination skin is, in fact, the most common skin type in Asia. There are a few reasons why this is so:

  • Your genetics
  • Unsuitable skincare products
  • Stress
  • Physical activity
  • Inadequate sun protection

If you have combination skin, the skincare products you use is extremely important. One wrong product could exacerbate your skin condition, causing more harm than good. That is why the right products can make a huge difference in your skin - making dry areas feeling hydrated and oilier areas looking mattified. But alas, does such a product exist in the market?

What product is moisturizing yet non-sticky, soothing yet effective and most importantly, is there a product that can treat my skin woes without aggravating my other skin concerns? Let's find out.

 Frankincense Patchouli

Frankincense:

Frankincense is great for toning oily skin because it is a natural astringent. It helps to regulate sebum by removing excess oil, and at the same time, soothes and reduces inflammation. This prevents bacteria from forming, resulting in lesser acne for those with acne-prone skin. Frankincense is also a famous wrinkle-reducer, thanks to its cell regeneration properties, keeping existing skin tissues healthy and strong. With this, those with matured skin can also benefit from the amazing properties of Frankincense.

Patchouli:

Patchouli is well known for its soothing properties. It can calm and heal the skin both internally and externally, making it a helpful aid to sunburns, acne, eczema and other skin problems. On top of that, Patchouli can purify cuts, sores and irritations in the skin. Similarly to Frankincense, Patchouli has the ability to trigger cell regeneration, thus reducing the appearance of scars, blemishes and pigmentation through cell renewal.

These 2 essential oils work in synergy, making it the perfect skincare range best suited for combination skin. In addition to Frankincense Patchouli, there is an added boost none other than Collagen. Collagen is well known in the skincare industry for its reputation in promoting vibrant, glowing skin. It helps to improve skin elasticity, reduce wrinkles, increase skin moisture and plumps the skin. With these 3 power ingredients all added into HYSSES's Frankincense Patchouli skincare series, it is no wonder it's recommended for those with combination skin.
