AHA Fruit, Alpha Hydroxy Acid, is a combination of fruit extracts (Grapefruit and Kiwi) and honey. Grapefruit extract offers glycolic acid and effective alpha hydroxy acid to assist in diminution of the appearance of wrinkles and fine lines on the skin. Kiwi extract offers citric acid and Vitamin C for a counter-irritant effect. Honey provides the substrate for the bio-fermentation of lactic acid, and many complex saccharides and oligosaccharides which provide moisturizing and conditioning properties. Ceramides, which are naturally present in the stratum corneum, are often lacking in dry looking skin. The addition of lactic acid allows the production of a more resilient stratum corneum with improved resistance to skin dryness.
