Extraction Method: Steam distillation from the leaves and sometimes the twigs and branches of the bitter orange tree.
Scent Profile: Because it is distilled from the leaves and twigs, it is less floral and less citrusy in fragrance. It has a beautiful, fresh, woody aroma that blends well with citrus rind and floral oils.

PETITGRAIN IN SKIN CARE
Treats skin problems: Petitgrain is good for maintaining the moisture and oil balance of the skin as well as for treating acne, pimples, abnormal sweating (for those who suffer from nervousness), dryness and cracking of the skin.
Natural deodorant: The refreshing, energizing, and delightfully woody yet floral scent of petitgrain essential oil does not leave any trace of body odour. It curbs the growth of bacteria in those parts of the body that are always subjected to heat and sweat.
How to use for face care
Add one drop of essential oil to one dollop of your face cream or lotion and apply every two days. Do not be tempted to add more oil. Higher doses do not work better than regular applications.
How to use for body care
Use no more than 4 to 5 drops for every 5ml of body lotion or carrier oil. Apply the mixture all over skin and pat dry or allow full absorption.
PETITGRAIN IN HEALTH CARE
Antispasmodic: Being antispasmodic in nature, Petitgrain induces relaxation in the tissues, muscles, nerves and blood vessels. As a result, coughs, abdominal and muscular cramps, congestion and convulsions are greatly reduced.

BLENDS WELL WITH
As a citrus essential oil, Petitgrain oil will blend well with other citrus-based oils like Bergamot or Lemongrass. In addition, it blends well with warm essential oils such as Cinnamon.
